22. Managed Service Provider (MSP)
An MSP is a company that manages IT services or technology assets for another organization.
Businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones, use MSPs to handle daily IT operations or provide specialized expertise they do not have in-house.
MSPs can provide services such as network monitoring, security monitoring, patching, help desk support, project support, product or service implementation, payroll services, incident response, and management of internal IT infrastructure.
Some MSPs also offer cloud-based security services, including managed detection and response (MDR), where they monitor security tools and help investigate and respond to security events.
