3. Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is wireless networking used to connect home and corporate systems without cables. It is popular because it is easy to deploy, flexible, and usually lower in cost than running wired connections.

It allows devices such as laptops and workstations to move freely within the signal range of wireless access points instead of being tied to a cable. Its range is usually enough for homes and small offices, and range extenders can be used to increase coverage.

Wi-Fi standards have improved over time, with newer versions providing better speed and performance.

The main security issue is that wireless signals can be reached from a distance. In wired networks, an attacker usually needs physical access to cables or devices. In Wi-Fi, an attacker may attempt intrusion without being physically inside the network space, which creates additional vulnerabilities.

Main Idea
Wi-Fi makes networking easier and more flexible, but its wireless nature also creates extra security risks because attacks can happen from a distance.
